IP CCTV Design & Install
Coverage-led camera plan with the right resolution and lens for each position — not a uniform camera everywhere.
IP CCTV designed around coverage and evidence quality — not just camera count. Plus NVR, VMS, storage sizing and access control.
A surveillance system is only worth what its footage is worth in an incident. Cameras mounted without a coverage plan, storage sized by guesswork, and a recorder left on default credentials produce exactly the footage you cannot use when you need it.
BS Gateway designs CCTV around identifiable outcomes: which areas need detection, which need recognition, and which need identification-grade detail. From there we specify resolution, lens, mounting height and lighting, size the storage against your required retention period, and build the camera network as a segmented VLAN rather than dropping it onto your office LAN.
Coverage-led camera plan with the right resolution and lens for each position — not a uniform camera everywhere.
Recorder and video management setup with retention-based storage sizing, RAID protection and health alerts.
Secure mobile and desktop viewing over VPN or a hardened gateway — never a camera port opened to the internet.
Card, PIN and biometric readers, electromagnetic locks, exit devices and door controllers with audit trails.
Biometric attendance and visitor management integrated with the same credential infrastructure.
Dedicated VLAN, changed default credentials and firmware currency — cameras are the most commonly abused device class.
Camera count follows from coverage requirements, not floor area. We walk the site and mark every position where you need detection (something is happening), recognition (who it is, if you know them) or identification (evidential-quality facial detail). Each level implies a different pixel density on target, which drives resolution, lens choice and mounting height. Most sites need fewer, better-placed cameras than they expect.
Storage depends on camera count, resolution, frame rate, compression codec and whether you record continuously or on motion. As an indicative figure, one 4 MP camera recording continuously at 15 fps with H.265 uses roughly 15–25 GB per day — so 20 such cameras for 30 days lands in the 9–15 TB range. We calculate this precisely for your configuration and include the working, plus headroom.
Yes. We configure secure remote access on mobile and desktop. We do this over VPN or a hardened gateway rather than by port-forwarding the recorder to the internet, which is how a very large number of CCTV systems are compromised.
Yes. Our annual maintenance contracts cover preventive visits including lens cleaning, focus checks, recording verification, storage health, firmware currency and backup power testing, along with defined-response breakdown support.
